The 2027 Madrid Open is scheduled for April 19th – May 2nd. The Madrid Open is the largest and most prestigious professional tennis tournament in Spain.
The tournament host the top 96 Men and Women players and takes place over a two week period. The center clay court, with a maximum capacity for 12,442 spectators, is officially named Estadio Manolo Santana. Stadium 2 (Arantxa Sánchez-Vicario Stadium), with a capacity of 3,383 spectators. Assigned seating in some sessions. Stadium 3, with a capacity of 2,251 spectators.
Where are the best seats? In my opinion the best seats are in the corners or behind the server in CATEGORY level. If you are sitting in the first two rows referred to as the Platinum seats at the Manolo Santana stadium, it’s hard to get perspective onto the court and you’ll spend your time moving your head back and forth. For this reason, I would suggest CAT 1 tickets.
Best areas to stay in the shade?
The west side seats at the Madrid Open’s center court, Estadio Manolo Santana, are located in sections A/B13 through B23. These seats are highly sought after because they offer the most shade during day sessions, as the sun remains at the spectators’ backs
Category 1 seats at the Madrid Open – From the court level, the CATEGORY 1 seats would be located in rows 3 through 13.
The Platinum seats in the Manolo Santana section is extremely small—it’s essentially the very front two rows on the east side of the Manolo Santana Stadium.
In Summary
- CAT 1 seats are rows 3 – 13.
- Platinum seats are in the first 2 rows on the east side of the (B-level) sections
