The Rose Bowl Game is an annual American college football bowl game, played on January 1 (New Year’s Day) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. When New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday, the game is played on Monday, January 2 (15 times now). The Rose Bowl Game is nicknamed “The Granddaddy of Them All” because it is the oldest currently operating bowl game.
The Rose Bowl is one of the largest football stadiums in the world. Over the years, the seating capacity has been increased, to the point now where its capacity is listed at 92,542 but has been known to seat well over 100,000 fans.
The bowl stadium design and primarily bench seating ensures that there aren’t any seats with obstructed views and everyone is as close to the action as possible for a stadium of that capacity.
